Privacy policy
Short version: we use your information only to keep you informed about the campaign. We never sell, rent, trade, or share it.
Effective date: October 14, 2026
This policy covers the website of Jamie GC Fisk Exploratory Committee (“the campaign,” “we,” or “us”). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Our promise
We will never sell, rent, trade, exchange, or share your email address, phone number, or any other personal information with anyone, for any purpose. That includes other campaigns, political parties, political action committees, advocacy groups, and businesses. It stays true after the election, and if the campaign ends, we will not transfer our contact lists to anyone.
We use your information for one thing: sending you information about the campaign.
What we collect
When you sign up for updates: your email address and ZIP code. We use your ZIP code only to tell you about events and volunteer opportunities near you.
When you sign up to volunteer: your name, email address, ZIP code, and how you would like to help. Your mobile number and any notes are optional.
When you visit the site: like nearly every website, the company that hosts this site automatically keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or financial account numbers.
How we use it
- To send you campaign news, event invitations, volunteer opportunities, and requests for support.
- To connect volunteers with campaign organizers in their area.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
That is all. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build profiles of you, and we do not combine it with data bought from other sources.
Service providers
To send email and text messages and to host this site, we use a small number of service providers. They handle your information only on our behalf, only to provide that service, and under agreements that forbid them from using it for anything else or sharing it. Using a provider to deliver our messages is not sharing your information, and they can never use our lists for their own purposes.
Text messages
If you choose to receive text messages from the campaign:
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
- Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts will never be shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or any other purpose.
- Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of volunteering or contributing.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click takes you off the list, and we honor every request promptly.
Website analytics
This site does not currently use any analytics or tracking tools. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first and will choose a tool that does not use cookies or track you across other websites.
Visit counter. This site keeps a running total of visits in a file on our own web server. The counter adds one per visit and stores only that number: no IP address, no cookie, and nothing that identifies you. It counts every visit, including from browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals, because it records nothing about the visitor. To avoid counting the same visit twice, your browser remembers for the current tab session that you have been counted; that note stays on your device and is erased when you close the tab.
This site loads its fonts and styles from our own servers, so simply visiting a page does not send your information to font services or other outside companies.
Contributions
Contributions are processed by a separate, secure payment service. We never see or store your full card number on this site. Please review that service’s privacy policy when you contribute.
Federal law requires campaigns to collect the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of anyone who contributes more than $200 in an election cycle and to report that information to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), which makes it public. This is the only disclosure the law requires of us, and it applies only to contributors. Federal law also prohibits anyone from using contributor information copied from FEC reports to solicit contributions or for commercial purposes.
Disclosure required by law
We will release personal information only if we are legally required to, such as by a valid court order or subpoena, and only to the extent the law requires.
How we protect and keep your information
We limit access to campaign staff and volunteers who need it to do their jobs, and we use the security tools our service providers offer, such as encrypted connections and two-factor sign-in. We keep your information only as long as the campaign needs it to contact you or as the law requires, and then we delete it.
Your choices
- Stop emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any message.
- Stop texts at any time by replying STOP.
- See, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing email address coming soon. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. We will never change it to allow selling, renting, trading, or sharing information you have already given us.
